loving you!
One of the most important things in life is loving your self. Well I guess that’s my opinion. I feel that before you can love someone or have someone love you, you need to love your self first. How could anyone love you if you don’t love your self first. Sometimes this is a problem for people out there today. Sometimes its hard for someone to love them self and really know who they are. I looked online and there are different sites that you can go on to help you love who you are. There was a really good site that I had found that gave you steps on how to love your self. In some of the steps it talks about evaluating your self and really seeing the real you. I think that maybe some people don’t love them selves for who they are because of maybe how they look or where they might work. But on the other hand people need to see who they really are. If they are a nice person, maybe there hobbies, they need to look at the kind of person they are and start to love that about them selves. Maybe people don’t see that because of the media and how they try to get us to think that we need to be a certain way. I feel people should just be who they are and love who they are even if it’s not what everyone els is like. Do you think you love your self?

Love shows
When watching TV it seems that all there is now is these shows about these famous people trying to find love. The funny thing to me is that there is more then one season of these shows that air on TV. Such as Rock of love2, Flavor of love 3, and A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila 2. If there finding there true love then why do they have more then one show. These shows are all set up the same. They have one celebrity and 15 to 20 normal people. The normal people have to try and win the heart of the celebrity. By doing this they have to do all kind of changes to be able to have alone time with them. At the end of each show people are asked to leave because they are not the one for them. They do this till there are down to one person that is supposed to be the one for them. The thing that gets me is that are these normal everyday people really are in love with this celebrity. I would just like to see one show where the normal person leaves on there own because they don’t feel that connection with the other. What I think is even funnier about these shows is that some of the people that get kicked off become famous from it and even have there own show. Such as That’s Amore is a guy trying to find love yet he was someone that was kick off of Tila Tequila. These are all called reality shows but by watching them it seems to me just more of entertainment not real people looking for love.

Different kinds..
When trying to describe love to someone it’s something you can’t really give a strait definition of. It’s a feeling that everyone has for something. Most people associate the word with having love for someone. But you can love all different types of things. Such as you can have love and passion for a sport. I loved running in high school. This meant for me running 6 days a week for about 5 miles a day. The only way you stick to a sport like that with such dedication for 5 years is if you have love and passion for that sport. Some people have love for art as well. This dose not mean you have to be a good artist to be able to love it. You can enjoy looking at it and buying different peace of are if you would like. I look at this as different kinds of love. This being that you don’t have the same love that you have for sports that you do for your mother. There different being that one is a person and the other is an activities. Some people say that they will never love but I bet that there is something that they love in life. Maybe not another person to marry but a hobby that they do for the rest of there life. Such as those coaches out there they live for there team. I feel like that kind of passion and love for something is what keeps the world going.

How hard should we try?
When it comes to girls and dating I feel that we seem to have a lot of pressure about finding the right guy. Or maybe its just the media getting us to think that we need to know everything about the opposite sex to be able to date them and find love. It seems to be all that girls talk about and it’s everywhere on the news and in magazines. Such as I get the magazine called Cosmopolitan and there is always something about how to keep a man or how to get a man. Always is giving women tips on how to get love and how to keep love. If you go on to there website there is a whole lot you can do and read on there about love and relationships. You can read more articles about it or even as for advice. I think that it is really great that we can become more knowledgeable about love and the opposite sex, but I feel that maybe these magazines are getting a little to deep into it. I feel maybe it’s more of a money making business for them. Is it really that hard for us girls to be able to find a guy and find true love. I guess that it is what ours society has become today or maybe it’s more of others making money off of what people feel is the most important thing. And I’m guessing that the most important thing for people is finding the right one.

Love is…
When you read the news paper have you ever looked at the Love is… pictures at the bottom of the comics. I always do because there so cute and interesting to look at. They must have so many Love is… pictures and sayings. I never have seen the same one twice and there always different ideas. They just about make anything go with love. I know of some people who collect these and save them. I don’t know if I would want to collect them unless they had some meaning to them. Its always nice when you go to look at that part of the news paper and you see one of those that applies to your life. I thing that there has to be one that applies to everyone’s life. There’s ones about having love for your children, boyfriend, girlfriend, and it keeps going. The cute part about them is they make love simple with simple ideas. Such as they show you that love can be shown with just a little bit of effort. In one of them I had found it says love is… is someone to pull of your ski boots. Its saying love can be shown just like that by helping your loved one not by going out any maybe buying them something. You can show people that you love them by don’t simple things and that is what these little cartoons is trying to show us. If you go to the website you can look at all of the Love is… and maybe you can find one that relates to you.

Letting your feelings out
What is the best way to let someone go or get over them? How do some people cope with there feelings after a break up. While looking online at some things I started to read poems. I started to look at love poems and ones about losing your loved one. Losing a loved one can first of all be anyone such as maybe a mom or a boyfriend. But dealing with the feelings is hard and some people deal with these feelings by writing poems. The two poems that I read and really liked where called A dream within a dream by Edgar Allan Poe and the other poem called A farewell by Coventry Patmore. Both of these poems talk about losing a loved one. The first poem by Edgar Allan Poe talks about trying to hold sand in his hand like trying to hold the person he is losing in his hand but it’s slipping away. Have you ever tried to hold sand at the beach and the wind blows and you squeeze your hand tighter but it still slips away and there is nothing you can do about it. I feel that is what he is trying to say in the poem about losing someone. That he is losing this loved one but there is nothing he can do to stop it. The other poem talks about two people going in there different ways. Maybe things just didn’t work out and now they have to part there own ways. Both of these poems where very moving for me and I wish I was able to write poems.

Matchmakers…
Have you ever seen the show called The Millionaire Matchmaker? I have and its very interesting. Not that I believe in matchmakers or anything like that as you know from my last blog. But I think its kind of funny that these men have a hard time finding a girl on there own being that they are so successful and have a lot of money. The show is all about this women named Patti that helps them find a women of there interest and she tells them how to keep them. As you watch the show she has two men that she is focused on and goes through different steps for each man to be able to find their girl. To get in to this club you must have a big bank account and she is very expensive. On one of the shows a man went out on a date with a girl that Patti set up. On the date the man decided to do something out of the ordinary and asked the women to marry him. The women said yes but they should take it slow till they do get marry. For me this is hard to believe that these two people fell in love on one date and felt as if they should spend the rest of there live together. Maybe they do feel this way and it will workout for them in the long run. But I feel you should be able to find your love on your own. Do all these men really need to spend lots of money on a matchmaker to find the one for them. Or are they just to lazy and more involved with there work to go out and do it their selves.

What people believe
When it comes to love I feel that people will believe in anything. Such as have you ever been watching TV and saw a commercial for finding out who your true love is? I have seen so many of these, like you can send thought your phone in a text message your name and your lovers name and see if you to are really made for one another. Do you really believe that you can find out if some is perfect for you by matching up two names. I don’t really things so, but my guess is that some people must do believe this because how are these commercials still running in less someone was paying them money or giving them business. I feel that love is deeper then just putting names together to find out if that is your true love. Some people believe in going to a fortuneteller to see if they will ever find love. In a way I feel that is cheating even though I don’t believe it. But lets just say I did believe in that, don’t you think things should just play out the way they should. Such as don’t you want it to be a surprise to find out who is the luck women or man. I feel that people today are just to caught up in having everything perfect. Everything perfect being falling in love, having the house, and then having the perfect family. But now a days don’t you see that it’s not really working out to good. So many families are split apart now. Maybe people need to take a step back and let things just happen. Don’t feel rushed to find that perfect someone because then you might rush into something that’s not going to work out.

Take off your Mask!
“Love takes off masks that we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within.” This quote by James Baldwin says many things that I my self have never thought about before. Such as love takes off masks that we fear we cannot live without. The word mask in this quote can mean different things for different people. A mask can be the thing a person would like people to thing they are. It’s what people see on the outside of you or its the thing that you want people to see when they first meet you. Such as maybe your insecure about the way you look but when you meet a guy you make your self out to be confident. That would be your mask or that is how I look at it. The next part of the quote says and we know we can not live with out this mask. I feel that this is true and you can’t always be the same all the time. Maybe the mask is part of who you are now, it’s now something that goes with your personality. Without it your not the same. You can’t always just meet someone and right a way be who you are fully in every way. But in time you will because the other person will get to know you and maybe find out why you have that mask. For you to be able to take the mask off you have to have a bond with that person and that can be anyone. Once you have a friendship with them you can take the mask off out of love and or because you love them and want them to see the real you.

Hallmark made Valentine’s day?
Valentine’s day is just around the corner and what is Valentines day all about LOVE. Some people feel that Valentines day is just something that Hallmark made up to sell more cards. Do you think this is true? I’m not sure where the idea of Valentine’s day came from but I hope is not from Hallmark trying to sell more cards. I think how ever this day was made up it was a great idea. Sometimes you forget to let the person that you love so much know that you love them and what better way to do it then on the holiday. I can understand that some people must really hate this day if they don’t have someone to do something special for them but once you get that someone wont you be excited for Valentine’s day? If Valentine’s day was a day just made up by Hallmark then don’t you think that Mother’s day and Father’s day was to? I think that holidays are just something to keep us entertained and closer together. How many times when your out of the house will you do something for your mom just to say hey you were a great mom. I know that I will never do that and I know my mom deserves it. Holidays remind us that it’s not always about you and receiving but its also about giving and giving to the people that are close to you. How would we always remember that its about giving if we never had holidays and I know that we can’t just depend on church. So I feel that holidays are great and fun even if the holiday isn’t for you there’s someone els out there that it puts a smiling face to.
